Mack Trucks
Mack Trucks is a company that was started by two Mack brothers John and Augustus in 1893. The two brothers purchased a carriage and wagon building firm in Brooklyn and the two were successful in opening up their first manufacturing plant.
Mack was among the manufacturers who were manufacturing cab which was directly over the engine. This design was very new at that time and gave drivers better visibility and maneuverability.
The company then became very successful in producing the cab over engine designs and then they started producing custom built designs made out of long lasting Mack components.
Today Mack trucks are a subsidiary of AB Volvo.
