Ram 1500 is mostly unchanged for the 2012 model except for the fact that there is five speed 545RFE automatic transmission modified and hence the drivers gets access to all the 6 pre-existing gears.
A lot of people know that the second gear 545RFE transmission uses 2 separate cogs which downshift or upshift differently and it depends on the speed and load. Most Chrysler engines call 545RFE transmission multigear instead of 6 speed which gives access to just 5 gears at one time. The engineers at Ram want to put all this behind now.
